Sermon: John 9: 1 – 38

A common misconception exists among us today, where we believe that those who are ‘suffering’ are in that state because of their sins. Yet Christ in this reading, states otherwise: “It was not that this man sinned, or his parents, but that the works of God might be made manifest in him” though the man was physically blind since birth, yet believed that Christ could heal him, the jewish elders who could see physically were blinded spiritually by their pride and therefore lacked the faith in the authority of the Son of man. Many times we fall into this same trap; humility & humbleness. You need Him more than He needs you! pray that the Lord opens your spiritual eyes and invite Him, asking Him to heal you from the sufferings of this world.
