Sermon: the love of law or the law of love?
Our Lord Christ provides us with a wonderful picture of perfecting God’s will on the sabbath day. While zealous ‘keepers of the law’ deemed it sinful to heal on the sabbath, Christ rebukes and teaches otherwise.
It’s a living example of how we today, tend to zealously misinterpret the good gospel for self-gain sometimes, failing to realise our errors and the defiance of the Lord’s will.
