Theological Symposium

On behalf of The Assyrian Church of the East – Diocese of Australia and Nisibis Assyrian Theological College we have the pleasure to announce the 2022 A.C.O.E. Theological Symposium.

It is a special honour for us to host this event as we will be graced with the attendance and participation of the Keynote presenter, His Holiness Mar Awa III, Catholicos-Patriarch of the Assyrian Church of the East.

This Symposium coincides with the inaugural visit to Australia by His Holiness following his Consecrated and Enthronement as the 122nd Catholicos-Patriarch in September 2021.

Guest speakers will include, Protopresbyter Dr. Doru Costache, Reverend Archdeacon Fr William Toma and Dr Ken Parry.
The Symposium deliberations will consist entirely of plenary sessions on the theme of Syriac Theology, Patristics and History.

Registrations of expressions of interested will be published very soon.

The Symposium will be held on Saturday 28 May, 2022 at the University of Sydney, Campbelltown campus and with doors opening at 9:30am and completion at 3:00pm.
